ISLAMABAD: According to the recently released Henley Passport Index 2025, the Pakistani passport has shown significant progress in the global rankings.
Singapore tops the list as the world’s most powerful passport, granting its holders visa-free access to 193 countries. It is followed by Japan and South Korea, whose citizens can travel to 190 countries without a visa.
Germany, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy and Spain are in third place with visa-free access to 189 countries.
According to the index, the Pakistani passport has gradually improved and is now included in the top 100 passports globally. Pakistan is ranked 100th, sharing the same spot with Somalia and Yemen.
The Director General of Passports said that online passport services are being provided for Pakistanis living abroad and efforts will continue to further improve Pakistan’s passport ranking with the continued support of the Ministry of Interior.
