Punjab CM Maryam launches Eid gift drive for children

LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has started an authentic initiative to bring happiness to differently-abled children across the province.

According to the details CM Maryam has directed Special Assistant Sania Ashiq to distribute Eid gifts to 40,000 special children as part of her strategy to engage marginalized populations and bring joy on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

During the launch, Sania Ashiq visited certain special education centers in Johar Town and Nishtar Town, including the Government Degree Colleges for Special Education and the Government Shadab Institute of Special Education.

While visiting each institution, Sania Ashiq gave Eid gifts and cards personally to learners in each classroom, taking some time to read a message from the Chief Minister.

She gave assurances we were not just doing this in a few institutions, as we are doing so with special students in every district in Punjab.

The government wants to reach 40,000 children before the Eid holiday, and demonstrates the support of the government for this vulnerable population.

Additionally, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that we would announce new initiatives for special children in Punjab soon.
