ISLAMABAD: The Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has predicted the date for the possible sighting of the moon for Rabi-ul-Awwal moon for the Islamic year 1447 AH.
The moon is expected to be born on August 23, 2025, around 11:06 am, the moon will be around 32 hours and 13 minutes old, making it visible under favorable conditions by the evening of August 24.
In Pakistan’s coastal districts, the time difference between sunset and moonset is estimated to be around 45 minutes. If the weather continues clear, the moon is likely to be seen that evening.
As a result, the first day of Rabi-ul-Awwal is expected to occur on August 25, 2025.
