South Africa beats Pakistan in first Rawalpindi T20I

RAWALPINDI: South Africa defeated Pakistan by 55 runs in the first T20I of the three-match series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Reeza Hendricks’s anchor half-century, topped by Corbin Bosch’s four-wicket performance, guided South Africa to victory against the green shirts.

Earlier, Pakistan had won the toss and chosen to field against South Africa first. Batting first, the away team posted the intimidating 195-run target, which was bowled out by the home team’s batting unit on 139 in 18.1 overs.

Pakistan: Salman Ali Agha (c), Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Usman Khan (wk), Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Nawaz, Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
