NEW YORK: Ted Turner, who revolutionized the global media industry and founded CNN, has passed away at the age of 87.
The American broadcaster CNN confirmed his death in a statement issued by Turner Enterprises, but the cause of death was not immediately revealed.
Ted Turner was considered a unique and bold name in modern TV journalism. He changed the media landscape forever by founding the world’s first 24-hour news channel CNN in 1980.
