Foreign minister Ishaq Dar set for official visit to KSA

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar will visit Saudi Arabia from March 18 to 19, according to the Foreign Office spokesperson.

According to a statement issued by the spokesperson, this visit is being made at the invitation of the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, during which he will participate in an important foreign ministers’ meeting on the regional situation.

In the meeting, Muhammad Ishaq Dar will reiterate his full support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of the brotherly countries of the region.

The Foreign Minister will emphasize the end of attacks on the territory of brotherly countries and highlight the need for an immediate end to tensions in the region.

On this occasion, he will emphasize the establishment of peace, calling for a return to dialogue and diplomacy.

Muhammad Ishaq Dar will also highlight Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for peace and stability in the region and will express his determination that Pakistan will continue to play an effective role in resolving the current security situation.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, this meeting is of utmost importance in the context of increasing tensions in the region, in which a joint strategy will be considered.
