ISLAMABAD: Six additional prison staff members, including three women, have been detained by security agencies in connection with their alleged facilitation and communication with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan, who is imprisoned at Adiala Jail.

In addition, the detained staff members include a female sweeper, two female wardens, and three CCTV camera operators. Authorities are currently interrogating them and have confiscated their mobile phones.

The female staff are accused of assisting Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi. These detentions follow investigations involving Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Akram, Assistant Superintendent Bilal, and Nazim Shah.

Since August 14, the total number of individuals detained concerning this case has risen to 13, including a Deputy Superintendent, two Assistant Superintendents, and other staff members.

Moreover, security at Adiala Jail has been increased, and the list of people permitted to visit the former Prime Minister has been restricted.
